THE BUS IS STILL BEING THE SAVEST ROAD WAY

The bus is still being the savest way of transport on the road, as can be seen from road safety Balance presented last Thursday, 3rd January, by the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, who was accompained by the Traffic Director, Pepe Navarro.

During 2018 there have been 1.072 fatal accidents on interurban roads, where have died 1.180 people and 4.515 were injured and hospitalized, what it means  a decrease of 1,5% and 7,6% on died and injured people and an increase of 0,7% on fatal accidents.

This accidental rate has happened in a place where there have been a lot of movements in 2018 (7,9 M more) , 2% more than last year, what it means that in 2017 were more than 416 movements; there are now 33,7 M vehicles and 26,8 drivers on Spain, vehicles grew 3% and drivers 1%.
